About Us Sustainability People & Communities
Supporting People & Communities

SUSTAINABILITY

Supporting People & Communities

A spirit of generosity. A culture of care. A legacy of philanthropy. Tommy Bahama has a history of enriching the lives of our employees and the communities in which they thrive. From employee volunteering to supporting relevant causes, we empower our teams and local charities to play an active role in building strong communities.

Volunteering

Employee Volunteering

Our employees take part in team-building efforts centered around charitable giving for causes close to our hearts. Over the past five years, for example, we’ve raised $140,000 for multiple sclerosis research through our Bike MS program.

In 2018, we launched our social responsibility program to allow every one of our full-time employees to donate up to 24 hours of paid working time to support local community charity efforts. Since launching, over 1,000 hours have been donated to good causes, from child welfare to beach clean-ups.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy

For over 15 years, Tommy Bahama has supported The Garden of Hope and Courage Foundation in Naples, Florida. This lush 2.5-acre garden provides cancer patients, their families, and the hospital physicians and nurses who care for them a haven for peaceful and healing reflection.

Every year, we also sponsor various golf tournaments providing support for hospice care, childhood cancer programs, marine life protection, and programs that support the lives of children facing social adversity.

No Kid Hungry

No Kid Hungry

Since 2013, we have partnered with No Kid Hungry to ensure children receive three healthy meals every day. Every year, across our restaurants and stores, we run a No Kid Hungry promotion to raise awareness and funds to end childhood hunger in America. This has allowed us to help provide up to 8.7 million meals to hungry children in the U.S.
