Did you know that Florida has more Tommy Bahama Restaurants & Bars than any other state in America? With 10 locations (and counting!), we’ve got island-inspired bites and craft cocktails flowing from the panhandle to the Keys. They don’t call it the Sunshine State for nothing!
Since 1995, we’ve opened four Restaurants and six Marlin Bars in Florida. In fact, we debuted both concepts there. What can we say—we know where trail-blazing relaxologists like to be! Our culinary journey has taken us all across the great state of Florida, where our award-winning Restaurants and innovative Marlin Bars make every hour feel like happy hour. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and see how it all started.
The first-ever Tommy Bahama Restaurant opened in Naples, and coconut shrimp was never the same. Suddenly, your own personal slice of paradise was just around the corner—no plane ticket required! This Third Street legend is nearing 30 years of serving up its innovative take on island hospitality. Getaway-ready apparel, tropical cocktails, and delectable dishes all under one roof? It was almost too good to be true. The one-stop destination for the island state of mind was born—and it’s only grown from there.
Make sure to try: our World-Famous Coconut Shrimp
Two years later, we ventured up north along the coast to open our second restaurant in Sarasota. Located in St. Armands Circle, it’s just a short swim away from Siesta Key and Lido Key, making it the perfect pit stop for a mai tai between sunbathing sessions. Pair your dinner with a stunning sunset view from our second-story dining room and you’ve got yourself a recipe for absolute bliss.
Try the refreshing fan favorite: Lump Blue Crab & Avocado Salad paired with a Classic Mojito
Need to relax and recharge? Look no further than our restaurant at the Grand Boulevard at Sandestin®! Tall, airy ceilings give way to lush greenery, creating an interior space that feels like your own personal cabana. If you’re in Florida’s panhandle, you’ve just found your new go-to spot for a margarita after a sun-soaked day at Miramar Beach.
Our happy-hour heroes: Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos and Warm Goat Cheese Dip
Finally—the eastern coastline gets a taste of island living! Like many of our other locations, Jupiter has a beautiful patio for al-fresco dining. After all, nothing pairs better with a meal than sunshine and fresh air. Plus, it overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway, so you can go from sailing to cocktailing for the ultimate shoreside escape.
Treat yourself to: our Chilean Sea Bass
In another Florida first, our debut Marlin Bar shook up everything. Introducing our innovative spin on a spirited cocktail party, the Coconut Point Marlin Bar in Estero features craft drinks, local microbrews, shareable bites, and a curated selection of our best apparel. It’s a low-key concept with high spirits. Just bring your friends, kick back, and indulge in the laid-back atmosphere.
For the table: Ahi Tuna Poke & Chips and Street Corn Dip
After four years of successfully raising the bar on casual dining, we rolled out our Marlin Bars to three more Florida locations, starting with Fort Lauderdale. Located on the iconic Las Olas Boulevard amid the hustle and bustle of downtown, it’s your oasis during a long day of shopping and sightseeing. So come on in, order your favorite cold drink (mai tai suggest a frozen cocktail?), and put up your feet.
To go with your Frozen Mai Tai: “Nashville” Hot Chicken Sliders
We’ve got the northeastern corner of Florida covered with our Jacksonville Marlin Bar! Conveniently located in St. Johns Town Center, you can pop in for a quick snack and be on your way—or stay a while and enjoy the ambience. Plus, it’s a great finish line for a Pacific-to-Atlantic road trip, where you can treat yourself to a celebratory brew.
Pair your beer with: All-American Burger Sliders and a side of Cajun Crinkle Fries
Next time your cruise ship sails to South Florida, lower anchor at our Dania Beach Marlin Bar, just off the Cruise Ship Dock. Pop in and rest your sea legs, no reservations required. Just make sure to bring your appetite—there’s loads of shareable bites you can enjoy with your group, like our Hurricane Tots and Ahi Tuna Tacos.
Pair your Ahi Tuna Tacos with: Live tunes from our musicians
Sunsets hit different when you’re able to kick back on our second-story patio at The Gardens Mall. At our Palm Beach Gardens Marlin Bar, happy hour runs from 5PM to closing time, effectively making almost every hour truly feel like happy hour. So gather the crew and hit our second-newest location in Florida—we’ll keep a seat ready for you
Make sure to sip and savor: the Coconut Cloud Martini or Bahia Sangria
Just 30 minutes north of Orlando, you can find our newest Florida Marlin Bar. It’s your go-to spot for a casual atmosphere, where the cocktails flow as easily as the conversation. Just a short walk away from the serene Lake Killarney, you’ll still get that seaside feeling despite not being on the coast. Just add a piña colada and you’ve got a one-way ticket to the island state of mind.
The Piña Colada’s best friend: Lump Blue Crab Cakes
