Unmet expectations cause anger.
I love the Tommy line of clothing. Have been buying your products for years. As an elected official I especially appreciate the casual classy products.
However, this Christmas I purchased several items from your online store and was given $50 card. ($50 Award Card) Attention potential customers, do not think this is a gift card!!!
I was given a month to use the 5 cards that my purchase earned. Today I was purchasing a pair Indigo jeans at a price of $148. I tried to use a second card to lower my cost. Tommy Bahama would not allow that. I called and was told these were not gift cards and that only one card could be used per purchase. All of that would be fine if the facts were expressed during any part of the process. When I earned the award cards I was expecting to have some reasonable amount of time to redeem them. 30 days is a short period of time to redeem 5 of these cards when you can't use multiple cards on a single purchase.
Tommy Bahama makes great products! Their deceit in dealing with consumers is shameful. The legal team for Tommy Bahama will be able to protect them and all of that is fine. I lost this battle. Just want to warn any one else who might have an expectation that this company might be honorable in their marketing to be ware.
